Training Available for Any Cavalier Puppy
Our puppy training program is available for any Cavalier puppy purchased from Shady Grove Cavaliers. This gives families the option to add extra preparation before bringing their puppy home, regardless of which puppy they choose. Each puppy learns at their own pace, so training may last between 2 and 4 weeks, depending on their progress, comfort level, and individual needs.
Potty Training Basics
Potty training is one of the biggest concerns for many new puppy owners, which is why it is a major focus of our training program. During this time, we help puppies begin developing a consistent bathroom routine and become familiar with designated potty areas. While no young puppy can be guaranteed fully housebroken, this early training provides a strong foundation and makes the process easier once they arrive in their new home.
Crate Training for Comfort and Routine
Crate training helps puppies feel safe, secure, and comfortable in their own space. We work with puppies to help them adjust to spending time in a crate in a positive way, rather than seeing it as something stressful. A properly introduced crate supports housebreaking, bedtime routines, quiet rest periods, and overall structure as your puppy settles into family life.
Introductory Leash Training
Our puppy training program also includes basic leash training. Puppies will begin learning how to stay on a leash and become more comfortable with gentle guidance and handling. This early exposure helps prepare them for future walks, vet visits, travel, and everyday outings with their new family. It also helps build confidence as they begin exploring the world around them.

The cost for puppy training is $500.
